Proving their value to the c-suite is a daily challenge for in-house teams. But those who can successfully communicate the impact and potential of creative and design expertise within an organisation have seen their remit and role expand to become genuine strategic partners, using creativity to unlock problems and help set the future direction of their brands.

At this in-person IHALC Breakfast Briefing, in partnership with Adobe, Nick Horan, Reckitt’s Global Brand Experience Lead, and David Harris, ECD and Head of Agency at Deloitte, will be sharing their experience and insights.

Nick heads the Reckitt Futures initiative – an innovation process that showcases how design can have a direct, tangible impact on business.

He’ll be discussing:

  • How the Reckitt brand experience team has been working to shift perceptions of design and creativity over the last five years; looking at the challenges they’ve faced alongside their successes.
  • How creative teams can better sell new ideas to the c-suite, learning to speak the language of business and continuing to prove the business case for creativity.
  • How designers and creatives’ unique skill lies in reimagining the future – and why this makes in-house creative teams such an important business function.

David was previously Deloitte’s first in-house Creative Director overseeing the creative work for Deloitte in the UK, North and South Europe with responsibilities that include the Film Studio, Data Visualisation, Experiential team and the Creative and design departments.

He’ll be sharing how the agency has evolved and widened its remit under his leadership.
