The IHALC Benchmarking Survey 2023

The In-House Agency Leaders Club is launching the first annual, benchmarking survey of in-house agencies in the UK and EMEA.

The in-house sector in the UK and Europe has developed enormously in the two years since we started IHALC. But there’s something lacking – accurate data on the sector and what it does.

There have been some very useful surveys on attitudes toward in-housing and surveys which explore the different in-housing models. However, online the US market where there are a number of excellent research sources, little has been done to examine what kind of set-up in-house agencies in UK and EMEA have, what roles and skills they encompass, what tools they use and how their leaders think they will change over the coming year.

Thanks to the generous support of our partners in this project, Adobe, IHALC’s Benchmarking Survey will seek to create shared data that will allow in-house agencies to benchmark themselves against their peers and to understand how IHAs are adapting to meet future demands.

The survey is split into 6 sections covering Your IHA Model, Resource & Talent, Operations, Tech, External Agency Partners and Priorities & Challenges. The survey is live now and we hope to report its findings in May.

Who should take the survey?
Ideally, the leader of the in-house agency or studio. If not, a member of the senior leadership team, who might typically be Director of Operations, ECD, or Creative Lead.

What will you do with the responses?
The results of the survey will be captured in a downloadable report and presented at a future IHALC event, to which contributors will be invited

Who will see my response?
All responses are confidential and non-attributable, in other words specific data revealed in responses will not be publicly attributed to individuals or companies and will only be used to inform general analysis unless express permission is sought and given.

What is the deadline?
All responses should be in by March 31, 2023
