The Body Shop: Community Fair Trade

The Greenhouse, The Body Shop’s in-house agency, has created a new set of films telling the stories of their Fair Trade partners in Nepal, Ghana and Kenya.

Furmston and a small crew visited the producers to tell their stories: “Our new Community Fair Trade films are about being invited into their world, being taken on a journey, with individuals positioned at the heart and soul of the community,” says Body Shop Creative Director Neill Furmston. “I got to understand the impact The Body Shop’s Community Fair Trade partnership has had and to truly connect with individuals on a personal level, to understand their own life-changing stories.”

One film (below) visits Get Paper Industry in Katmandu. “This is a business where the positive impact ripples throughout the entire community, and it shows,” Furmston says. “They’re true artisans, who hand-make our gift boxes and gift bags, including our Christmas packaging, which you’ll see in our stores soon.”
